Club Teams
3150A
This is currently the most skilled team consisting of members with high amounts of experience. 3150A was also the first team officially established in the organization when it first began in 2021.
3150M
This team consists of members with good amounts of experience or skill. In the past VRC season, 3150M has regularly attended competitions including the Ontario provincial championships.
3150K
This team is for members just joining the club. If members are able to prove their skill level sufficient enough for higher level teams, they will be moved accordingly. This team is more educational and beginner friendly.
Future Teams
For the next season, our organizations will likely develop more teams to accomodate for a much larger number of members. We will also expand beyond just participating in VRC. The new facets of our club are explained in the section below.VRC
Up until this point. Silver Owl Robotics has participated in the Vex Robotics competition (VRC), which is held internationally. Currently, we have three main teams for VRC which are all listed above. These teams may be revamped or more may be added in the next season to accomadate for a greater number of members joining.
FLL
the First LEGO League (FLL) challenge is an internationally scaled robotics compeition for elementary and middle school students. Our organization will be running teams to participate in the upcoming FLL season for 2023-2024. This will be a great oppurtunity for young aspiring STEM students to gain robotics and engineering experience early on in their education.
VEX IQ
The VEX IQ Competition, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, provides elementary and middle school students with exciting, open-ended robotics challenges that enhance their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills through hands-on, student-centered learning. Silver Owl Robotics will also be holding teams that wll participate in VEX IQ compeitions for the next season.
